Kendall 2 1/2 years old

Kendall's a girl on a mission for sure. She's always got something going on in that little head of hers. It's never a dull moment with her around. For instance, today as we were leaving preschool, she started giving me directions-- "Turn this way," "No Mommy, turn around here." Talk about a backseat driver. It was hysterical. I don't know where she gets it. (Or maybe I do. :~)

Jace..... he had his 6 month appt. on Tuesday. He weighs about 15.5 pounds and is 25.5 inches long. He got a good report on everything but the dr. made reference to a heart murmur and referred us to a pediatric cardiologist. I have to say I was a bit freaked out by that news, but since have done some research and talked with friends and family who have calmed me down a bit. The appointment is next Thursday, so I'll update later with the news of what the P.C. says. Also, he's had quite the fever since his shots on Tuesday. In fact, last night I decided to take him to urgent care b/c it got as high as 103.7. I thought there could possibly be another issue going on (ear infection) but after several tests, the dr. said that while it's rare, some babies can have a fever that high b/c of shots. No fun!!! I don't like when my babies are sick. :~(

Boz May 26, 2000- March 23, 2009

Today has been a sad day at our house as we had to put Boz, our Black Lab, to sleep. Last week, he became paralyzed only hours after running and playing in our backyard and never regained movement of his legs. It was heartbreaking to see him in that condition because anyone who knew Boz, or Boz Man as we affectionately called him, would have to agree he had so much energy and loved to run and bark :~).

Jimmy got Boz as a puppy prior to us meeting and they've always been the best of friends. Boz loved to be outside with Jimmy chasing a ball or lounging in the yard while Jimmy did yardwork. They had a really special relationship and I know they'll miss each other very much. We love you, Boz Man!

Boz last week---He was just happy to be home.

Boz- Christmas 2005-- Jimmy and Boz didn't like when I whipped out the reindeer antlers for the dogs to wear. I thought it was precious.

Boz- Spring 2007- Kendall was 7 months old.

Jace is 6 months old!

Mr. Bright Eyes-- here are a few pics from our photo session when we were in Georgia. How cute are those chubby little arms!!??

It seems like just weeks ago he was in my belly and now look at him!! Our little man is changing so much everyday. He sitting up for longer periods of time now, loves to squeal, and smiles so much. What a change from a few months ago when I thought he'd never stop crying!! We go to the doctor for his 6 month check up on Tuesday, so I'll update with his "stats" later this week.

Check out this video.

Going, going, almost gone!!!

This morning, I had to go for my biweekly weigh-in. And guess what.... I hit the 20 lb. mark!!!!!!!! Yes, that's right.... I've lost 20 lbs. It's been 2 months since I started the Breastfeeding Mom's program at Metabolic Research Center, and I am loving it. I still have a ways to go but I'm excited about reaching this goal.
Also, Jimmy joined a gym and I haven't been able to join with him b/c the childcare won't take babies under 6 months of age. So, since Jace turns 6 months old this week, I finally get to start going. I'm super excited and know this will only help me progress in my weight loss mission.
I'll update you later when I hit 30 lbs. :~)

Anyone need a carwash?

Kendall's for hire and does an exceptional job as shown by the shiny rims on her big wheel.

(Might be on the cutest things I've seen her do so far.)

Georgia on my mind...

We've been in Georgia with Gammy, Papa, Uncle Brad, Aunt Kim, and Cousin Nate. What a great and very busy time we are having!! Brad, Kim, and Nate came over Saturday and spent the night. I told Kim and Brad that Nate would be a bit tougher after he and Kendall were finished playing. :~) Also, Mom, Kim, and I took the kids to get their pics taken. What an adventure!! Even a little bribery didn't do the trick to get all 3, well mainly Kendall, to sit still for more than a few shots. We did manage to get several precious pictures though, so all our hard work was totally worth it.

I also got the chance to see some of my girlfriends whom I miss dearly. What a nice treat to go out for a margarita and a little girl chat!! We had a blast!

It's finally time for an update...

Happy Birthday, Pap Pap!

Zac, Jace, Kenzie, Kendall and Ty

Ty and Uncle Jimmy

Aunt Jenn and Jace

It has been quite awhile since I've updated my blog but for good reason. We've had so much going on as of lately. At the end of February, we had a very sad event in our family with the passing of Jimmy's grandfather, Pap. Pap has played such an amazing part in all of our lives. Jimmy had such a close relationship with him and will miss his weekly talks but knows Pap will keep watch over us and see Kendall and Jace grow up. We made the trip to PA for Pap's funeral. Jimmy spoke the most beautiful words about his Pap at the service. I was really proud of him and can only imagine the strength it took to get through that.

On a positive note, we got to spend time with Aunt Jenn, Cousins Zac, Kenzie, and Ty and celebrate Pap Pap's (jimmy's dad) birthday while we were in PA. Kendall loved playing with her cousins and kept right up with them. And it was Zac, Kenzie, and Ty's 1st time meeting Jace. Ty kept saying, "Jace is so cute." How precious!!
