This is one of those things you would have just had to see to laugh like Jimmy and I did. I was letting the water warm up w/ the shower door open and JaceMan just made his way right into the shower clothes and all. He was just laughing and playing away and when Jimmy went to take him out, he started crying. It was absolutely hilarious!

Happy 1st Birthday Jace!
And back to the beginning....1 day old
In this picture, Jace is about 5 weeks old and had just started smiling.....
6 months

Like Daddy, Like Son (10 months)

Like Daddy, Like Son (10 months)
Jace turns 1 today, and I can't believe how fast this year of his life has gone. The night before he was born, I remember sitting in the kitchen with my family (Jimmy, Kendall, Gammy, Papa, Mimi, and Pap Pap) guessing Jace's weight and length and trying to envision whom he would look like. Then, our 6 lb. 10 oz., 19 inch mini Jimmy was born and since that day, life has taken us on an awesome journey as a family of 4.
He has learned so much in his first year, but the thing about Jace that sticks out the most is his smile. He has this amazing smile that radiates through his eyes and his whole face beams. My hope for him is that as he grows, he continues to smile that same awesome smile and be the happy little guy that absolutely lights up our lives.

Kendall's 3 Year Well Visit
Stats:
Weight: 29 lbs. 12 oz. (39%)
Height: 37 inches (40%)
And no shots!!!! YEAH for Kendall and Mommy. ;~)
Also, when the doctor went over the developmental checklist, Kendall met or exceeded each one of them, so I was extremely happy with that.

Oh Jace!
I realized that I haven't posted about Jace in awhile, so I figured this was something too funny not to share. Jimmy and I caught him digging in a box of Cheerios that he pulled out of the trash. Yep, there he was just enjoying a snack right on the kitchen floor. Jimmy said it was just his way of beefing up for football season. Check him out..... caught red handed! (Oh, and then he took Kendall's pink princess cup and finished off her milk.)
And look at this precious face! He was crawling toward me saying "Ma Ma Ma Ma Ma." Gosh, I just love my little smiley guy!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Kendall!
A walk down memory lane...Kendall's birthday September 12, 2006. This is my favorite pic from her birth. She was only about 30 minutes old. Jimmy was walking her out of the operating room to the newborn nursery to meet the grandparents.

Here she is at 6 months. She had just learned to sit up.

Happy 1st Birthday!

Happy 1st Birthday!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Happy 3rd Birthday "Miss September"! (That's what her shirt says.)
Happy 3rd Birthday "Miss September"! (That's what her shirt says.)
Last night, Jimmy and I put the kids to bed and watched Kendall's "debut" video that Papa made for us when Kendall was born. To think that our 6 lb. 11 oz. baby girl is now a lively, beautiful 3 year old who talks in paragraphs and doesn't stop, goes to preschool, gives the best hugs and kisses, dresses herself and tries to match, combs her long hair, take gymnastics and does somersaults, loves shoes, makes friends, takes care of her baby dolls, backseat drives, rides a tricycle, loves popsicles after her bath, could eat chicken nuggets & ranch everyday, counts to 30, knows her shapes & colors, introduces herself to people, says at least 10 X's a day "I can do it myself", loves Dora cartoons, prefers walking over riding in the stroller, asks Why?, reminds us to brush her teeth, cuddles w/ Jace (and then tackles him), uses the potty, sings songs..... and did I mention she LOVES shoes. :~) I could go on and on as I sit here reminiscing about what a blessing Kendall has been in our lives and how quickly these 3 years have gone.
We love you Baby Girl! Happy Birthday!

Kendall's 1st day of preschool
Kendall and her teacher, Ms. Mere, at gymnastics preschool
Kendall has been so excited the past few days about starting back to preschool. Last night, she told Jimmy at least 10 times, "I have school tomorrow Daddy." This morning, she helped me pack her lunch and then unpack it. (She's always ready to eat. :~)
So, on our way to school she kept telling me that she can't open her lunch box until her teacher tells her it's lunchtime. (She was repeating what I had told her before we left home.) It was so funny!
When we got to the school, Ms. Mere, her teacher, greeted her with a big hug and Kendall was beaming. Then, Kendall announces to everyone, "I'm Kendall." It was precious and actually brought a tear to my eye. I didn't prompt her to say that. We then put her belongings in her cubby and she once again tried to unpack her lunch box. (of course!)
She didn't even have time to give me a kiss goodbye b/c she had already spotted the dress up center. I came second at that point, but I did manage to sneak one in before I left.
It makes me so happy that she loves school.
Happy Birthday Jimmy!
We celebrated Jimmy's 32nd this past weekend. I took the kids to the grocery store and let them pick out his cake. Kendall immediately went for a colorful ladybug cake, so I gave her a few other options and we finally decided on a delicious cookie and cream cake- just what I knew Jimmy would want. :~) The kids added some colorful touches and he loved it!
