Oh Jace....

A couple of must share Jace stories...
I took the kids to "meet and greet" tonight at the preschool. Kendall couldn't have
been more of an angel....walked in, introduced herself, sat in her assigned seat, colored w/ her classmates. Jace, on the other hand, was quite the little devil. I walked him into his classroom and looked down to find him gone. Yes, he ran out of his classroom and into the classroom across the hall that has an indoor playground. He wanted nothing to do w/ going back into his classroom no matter how hard I tried. Oh, his poor teachers. Now that Jace knows that playground is there, they should have an exciting day trying to keep him away.

And the funniest story....I put Jace to bed last night and about 30 minutes later, I hear "Mommy, Mommy." I open the door to his room to find that he has pulled his portable potty onto his bed, stripped down and is using the potty. Yes, all right there on top of his bed. And did I mention he had missed....a lot....and was smiling at me.
That's my Jace! :-)

We are moving!

So, I am finally getting a chance to sit and post something about our move. Jimmy accepted a position with Enterprise as Assistant Vice President of the South Central region. He will now work at the corporate office for Enterprise which is located in St. Louis. This is a wonderful opportunity and I am extremely proud of Jimmy and this accomplishment. There are definitely some mixed emotions about leaving TX. We certainly have grown to love it here and have made lifelong friends. Who knows...maybe one day we will be back. :)
We have been house hunting and the area of St. Louis where we are moving is really beautiful. I am happy to see rolling hills and trees. We've yet to decide on a house and are anxious to see what happens with our house in TX.
There is definitely more to come on this subject and hopefully news of a new home.

Jace's Big Boy Bed

Yes...we did it! Jace is in a big boy bed! It is still hard for me to think I no longer have one in the crib. He has been doing great with staying in the bed, well except for his occasional jumping. ;)

South Carolina Trip

We had an awesome time w/ Mimi, Pap Pap, Aunt Jenn, Zac, Kenzie, and Ty while we were in South Carolina. The kids had a blast with their cousins and really enjoyed swimming at Mimi's pool and visiting the beach. It was Jace's 1st beach trip and he would've spent all day digging in the sand if he could have. We also stayed at Mimi and Pap's river house in Beaufort. Talk about beautiful! Thank you Mimi and Pap Pap for an wonderful time!

4th of July

Gammy and Papa joined us for a 4th of July parade in our neighborhood. The kids decorated their wagon with all the goodies that Gammy brought. Despite a slight drizzle, it was really a great time for the kids.

My new 'do

Yep...no more blonde for me. Well, for a little while at least! :) After months of contemplation, I went to the salon last week and told her to dye my hair back to my natural color. She told me I may be in shock at how dark it would be and while, yes, that was true for the 1st day or so, I've actually started to like it better. It's definitely a change since I've been getting highlights since highschool.

Disney Princess Dance Camp

This past week, Kendall went to a ballet and tap dance camp. On the last day, the girls wore their princess dresses and the parents were invited to a recital. Kendall was front and center and did a great job, well except for a bit of stage fright. ;)

Happy Father's Day!

A little behind on blogging.....yes, I know! We had a wonderful visit with Mimi last week. I always appreciate an extra set of hands with the kids and a shopping buddy is definitely a plus. Thanks so much Mimi for coming to see us!

And Happy Father's Day to Jimmy! Or like he prefers.... Happy Father's Weekend! He enjoyed a golf outing and opening some gifts from his #1 fans. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Memorial Day Pics

Geez...been too long since I've updated. Kendall is officially out of school for the summer. Oh, what are we going to do?! We started off with a great Memorial Day picnic with other families in my Mom's group. Jace LOVED the water balloons and must have thrown at least 10.
We are excited about a visit from Mimi and Pap Pap next week. Hope they love the heat because it sure has been scorching here...yesterday 97!!!! I think the pool will be calling.
