A Safari right here in Texas
On Sunday, we went to Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch in northern San Antonio. It's a 4 mile drive through a 400 acre ranch filled with over 100 species of animals. The ranch also breeds giraffes and rhinoceros. How cool is that!!
Don't worry....we didn't feed the giraffes. :~)
Happy Birthday Bailee and Boz!
It's still funny to us that they had the same birthdate. Bailee is 11!!!! And Boz would have been 9. We miss you Boz Man!

Alamo and Riverwalk San Antonio
On Saturday, we spent the day at the Alamo and Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. Both were very beautiful and we enjoyed sightseeing but it was very congested and quite challenging navigating a double stroller on the Riverwalk. We were able to tour the Alamo and the take the boat tour of the city. Literally, 30 minutes after we got off the boat tour, there was a downpour. We were quite lucky to not get caught in that while riding on the boat. But, we did have to find shelter under a bridge until the storm passed. I posted a video at the very end.

Jace on the lawn of the Alamo and Kendall running circles around him
This cactus, inside the Alamo grounds, was much more amazingly big than this picture portrays. It was really cool.
Jimmy and I were getting a kick out of this guy's mullett on the left. I know, I know..... we were there supposed to be focused on leaning some history not his mullett. :~P
Sea World- San Antonio May 22
I'm not quite sure who was more excited about the Sea World trip.....me or Kendall? I think in the end, it was a pretty close call. We all had a blast and were blessed with great weather, few crowds, and kids who (sans nap) made it through a long day.
Stained glass at the entrance
Jace by the Sea Lion and Seal tank (watch the video below)

Sea Lion and Walrus Show-- this show was our favorite!

Gator pond-- Kendall fell in but we were able to retrieve her rather quickly. (do i even need to say that I'm kidding!!)
Typical Kendall....being silly!
Jace was fascinated with the flamingos.
Shamu Show
Amazing!

Owens Farm
I just laugh....
Yes- Kendall lately has really wanted to have an opinion on her attire. Notice how she put on her headband. Hilarious!!
This cracks me up because she was wearing her hat backwards just like Daddy and sunglasses in the house.
And this morning, I told her "Don't test me Missy" and she looks at me and says "Okay Missy, I won't test you." Have I told you how much I love 2 1/2 year olds??!!!

Kendall's 1st Gymnastics class
Sorry--no pics, but I'll bring the camera next time.
Kendall had her 1st gymnastics class this morning at the Metroplex Gymnastics center here in Allen. It was awesome and she did a great job. Well, besides the initial clinging to my leg for the warm up, she loved it. There were only 3 kids in the class so she got a lot of individualized attention. The teacher started the class with songs and tossing a bean bag in a circle. Kendall wasn't quite warmed up to all of this and didn't participate too much until she was allowed to get on the equipment. The gym has toddler sized uneven bars and balance beam, so she absolutely loved playing on those. There also was had an obstacle course set up and she fell right into rhythm. At the end of class, the teacher got the kids together again for bubble time and songs. Then, they got stamps on the hands for having a good day. So, for her 1st time going, I was pretty impressed with how she did and look forward to going back.
